Maritime Gig Festival Begins This Weekend

The festival's return is good news for revelers, but road closures may pose a hassle for some commuters. Here's what they've got planned.

GIG HARBOR, WA β€” The Maritime Gig Festival is almost here!

The festival, an annual event put on by the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce, normally takes place the first full weekend in June every year with a parade and celebration along the downtown waterfront. But because of the pandemic, this year the festival had to be postponed until this weekend.

The Maritime Gig Festival is poised to be a lot of fun, and will include all the traditional staples like the Grand Parade, a Pancake Breakfast, Regatta and everything else residents have come to expect from the yearly event.
