Minerva Scholarship Fund Opens Application Cycle for 2024-25 Year

Women who live or work within the boundaries of the Peninsula School District are eligible to apply.

Eligibility requires that applicants have experienced at least a one-year interruption in their

education and intend to return to complete a degree or certification. The application deadline is

Julie Offner, Minerva Board President, shares that “scholarships are available to assist with

completing vocational training, as well as two-year degree, four-year degree, or graduate-level

programs.” Offner explains that all accredited programs, whether online or out-of-state

programs, qualify for those considering a return to complete their educational goals. Past

scholarship recipients have pursued careers including truck driving, medicine, environmental

science, criminal justice, gerontology, social work, cosmetology, nursing, and education. Current

recipients successfully progressing toward their degrees and certifications are encouraged to

apply for continuing scholarship assistance.
