Photo: Massive Boulder Closes Olympic Peninsula Highway
Luckily, no one was hit by the massive rock that rolled onto the highway.

A gigantic boulder has closed U.S. 101 near Lake Crescent in the Olympic National Park. The big rock rolled onto the highway recently and damaged the roadway, transportation officials say.
Based on a photo provided by the Washington State Department of Transportation, the boulder appears to be at least 10 feet high. Crews are working to reopen the highway, but they don't know how long it might take to clear the boulder and fix the roadway.
