โข โThe whole farm is underwater': Briscot Farm seeks help after sudden flooding (kiro7.com) โ Sudden flooding left Briscot Farm in Kent largely underwater, forcing an hours-long evacuation of more than 30 animals and destroying vital hay, feed, and supplies. All animals survived, but the family now faces major losses and the risk of losing their home. Neighbors have launched a GoFundMe to help the farm recover and continue serving the Kent community. 
โข Kent pedestrian killed in hit-and-run along SR 516 (kentreporter.com) โ A 55-year-old Kent man was killed late Saturday night in a hit-and-run while walking along SR 516 near West Meeker Street, according to the Washington State Patrol. Troopers say the eastbound driver kept going, closing the road for several hours while investigators worked the scene. Authorities are still determining what caused the crash and whether impairment was involved.

They are all over the upper midwest prarie states, so I was surprised to see one this far west. Must have gotten lost, or is their range spreading?? (Nextdoor Park Orchard)
