Caffe Ladro's Tall Man Gets Shorter For National Dwarfism Awareness Month

The benefit promotion begins Friday in all Caffe Ladro stores, including Kirkland.

The tall, skinny man of Caffe Ladro cups will be a little smaller for awhile.

Caffe Ladro, in conjuction with Seattle Children's Hospital and the Puget Sound chapter of Little People of America, is part of a campaign called "Stand Tall for Little People." Itโ€™s all part of National Dwarfism Awareness Month, which is being celebrated nationwide in October.

Caffe Ladro, which has 13 locations in Puget Sound, including one in , will actually break out the special cups on Friday, said Edmonds Caffe Ladro store manager Dawn Ponton.

โ€œCaffe Ladro is committed to supporting our local community and the causes that are important to our community members,โ€ said Caffe Ladro owner Jack Kelly in a news release. โ€œWe are amazed by the incredible work done at Seattle Childrenโ€™s and through Little People of America, and are honored to partner with them to help stand tall for little people.โ€

The cup redesign is for Caffe Ladroโ€™s tall-sized cups, which will have a smaller version of the companyโ€™s signature man in coat and hat. The cup includes the phrase โ€œStand Tall for Little People.โ€

The cup also has a link to Little People of Puget Soundโ€™s website, where those interested can learn more about the campaign.

Caffe Ladro has 13 locations in Puget Sound, including Edmonds. They include several in Seattle and also in Lynnwood, Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue and Issaquah Highlands.
