Car Hits Kirkland School, Slightly Injuring Several Students
An aid car responded to the accident at the Kirkland Seventh Day Adventist School in Houghton. No kids were taken to the hospital and repairs to the building are under way.

A car driven by a parent struck a classroom at the in Houghton Friday morning, slightly injuring several children.
Prinicipal Linda Taber said the car was in the school's parking lot before it hit the building, and that the injuries and damage to the structure were minor.
โOne of our parents had a mishap, but everyone is fine,โ she said. โWe have a contractor on site and (the building) will be fine.โ
School continued in other parts of the building, which is at 5320 108th Ave. N.E. in the Lakeview neighborhood of Kirklandโs Houghton area.
The Kirkland Firefighters Facebook page posted a short account and some photos of the incident, which occurred at about 8:30 a.m. The report indicated that an aid car responded and that although several children were hurt, none needed to be taken to the hospital.
It also said that Kirkland Building Department inspectors declared that part of the building uninhabitable pending repairs.
"The driver was uninjured," said Kirkland Fire Department Capt. Margo Freeman, the acting battalion chief on Friday. "We were very lucky, and we can be thankful for that."
