City Council Meets; Chamber to Hear About Redistricting

- The days grow long: The sunrise is at 5:49 a.m. and the sunset at 8:24 p.m.
- The City Council meets at , starting at 6 p.m. with its regular study session in the Peter Kirk Room, and then at 7:30 in the council chambers for its regular meeting. It will get an annexation update in the study session, then deal with issues including an inter-local agreement with King County regarding annexation transfers and options for community development block grants.ย
- Tim Ceis, former Seattle deputy mayor,ย will be at the ย to talk with a Kirklandย ย luncheon about redistricting based on the 2010 census. It's a big issue since Washington will be adding a 10th congressional seat, requiring a redrawing of districts. Ceis is a member of the bipartisan commission that will work on it. - The city's Parking Advisory Board meets in the Rose Hill Room at City Hall, 7:30 a.m. On the agenda are Wednesday Market vendor parking, parking stalls on busy Park Lane and load/taxi zones.
