Dooley's KDOG Benefit at Grape Choice; Free Concert at Marina Park

  • This morning's sunrise is at straight up 6 and tonight's sunset is at 8:29 -- somehow sad to think that on the summer solstice June 21, sunrise/sunset was 5:11 and 9:11.
  • The 4th annual Wine-Testing Benefit by the pet food storeย ย and the wine store ๏ปฟ is at the latter in Lakeshore Plaza, 6-9 p.m. It is for a very important cause: The non-profit group KDOG's drive to create an off-leash park in the Totem Lake area, as well as Pasado's Safe Haven. Wine, appetizers and good cheer will be served, with a suggested donation of $20.
  • Right nearby, the 11-piece Soul Purpose will be pouring its collective heart out in a free concert at , part of theย Kirkland Summer Concert Series, beginning at 7 p.m. They play soul, of course, and straight ahead classic rock.
  • The Kirkland Planning Commission's scheduled meeting at has been canceled.
