Eight Lake Washington High Students Advance in DECA Competition

Eight students from Lake Washington High School will compete in the 2011 DECA State Career Development Conference Thursday through Saturday in Bellevue. 

The following Lake Washington students earned top placement at the DECA Area Conference last month and will continue competing at the state level this week:

•  Alexis Hamilton, marketing management, second place.
•  Nathan Brand and Kevin Middleton, marketing communications team, third place.
• Camille Worsech, marketing management, fourth place.
• Shannon Ong and Maggie Lehr, LW advertising campaign, fifth place.
• Jordan Cox and Curtis Donahoe, finance team, seventh place.

DECA is a national group -- Distributive Education Clubs of America -- designed to foster hands-on education in marketing, business and entrepreneurship.
