The Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra collaborates with the Seattle Art Museum to treat audiences to a selection of images from significant paintings by Jacob Lawrence, and his unique views of the Harlem Renaissance period (ca. 1920-35), interspersed with the SRJO performing classic jazz pieces from the same period by jazz composers Fletcher Henderson, Jimmie Lunceford, Duke Ellington and others.
