Showing of Good Food โ€“ Sustainable Food and Farming in the Northwest

Showing of Good Food โ€“ Sustainable Food and Farming inthe Northwest on April 17thย and Post-Film Discussion with the Producer

Eastside Earth Educators and PCC Natural Markets present the film, โ€Good Foodโ€ โ€“ย Sustainable Food and Farming in the Northwest. As the film notes, โ€œsomething remarkable is happening in theย fields, ranches and orchards of the Pacific Northwest. Family farmers are making a comeback. They're growingย much healthier food, and lots more food per acre, while using less energy and water than factory farms. And mostย of this food is organic. โ€œGood Foodโ€ visits producers, farmers' markets, distributors, stores, restaurants and publicย officials who are developing a more sustainable food system for all.โ€

The movie will begin at 2:30pm, with post-film discussion with filmmaker Melissa Young and PCC Naturalย Marketsโ€™ nutrition educator Leika Suzumura. Learn how you, too, can be a part of this growing movement withinย the greater Eastside region. Representatives from local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farms andย informational tables will be open from 2-4pm.
