Showing of Good Food โ Sustainable Food and Farming inthe Northwest on April 17thย and Post-Film Discussion with the Producer
Eastside Earth Educators and PCC Natural Markets present the film, โGood Foodโ โย Sustainable Food and Farming in the Northwest. As the film notes, โsomething remarkable is happening in theย fields, ranches and orchards of the Pacific Northwest. Family farmers are making a comeback. They're growingย much healthier food, and lots more food per acre, while using less energy and water than factory farms. And mostย of this food is organic. โGood Foodโ visits producers, farmers' markets, distributors, stores, restaurants and publicย officials who are developing a more sustainable food system for all.โ
The movie will begin at 2:30pm, with post-film discussion with filmmaker Melissa Young and PCC Naturalย Marketsโ nutrition educator Leika Suzumura. Learn how you, too, can be a part of this growing movement withinย the greater Eastside region. Representatives from local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farms andย informational tables will be open from 2-4pm.
