Farewell to Old LW; Recycle Event at Houghton Park & Ride
Things you might want to know today, Saturday, April 16.

- The sun rises at 6:19 a.m. and sets at 8 p.m.
- The old building will be torn down after the school year to make way for a modern new structure, so the school is inviting students and staff past and present to a "Farewell old LW" event. It's at the school, 2-5 p.m.
- The city and county are hosting a recycling collection event at the Houghton Park & Ride, (NE 70th St. and 116th Ave NE), 9 a.m.-3 p.m. You can bring tires, motor oil, batteries, printers, VCRs and other junk, but there are other things you cannot bring; details here.ย
- Star-watcher alert: The nearly full moon and Saturn will be near each other in the eastern night sky; if the weather is clear it will be a good time to spot that planet. More here.
