Friends of Youth Collecting School Supplies

The non-profit group with a facility in Kirkland needs items that will be given to homeless and at-risk youth in the area.

ย is now collecting school supplies for homeless and other at-risk children. The items can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the organization's administrative office, located at 16225 NE 87th St., Suite A-6, in Redmond.

Suggested items include:
โ€ข Backpacks for preteen and teenage boys and girls
โ€ข Spiral notebooks, single subject
โ€ข 3-ring binders
โ€ข Notebook paper (college and wide ruled)
โ€ข Pens
โ€ข Pencils
โ€ข Erasers (Pink Pearl)
โ€ข Highlighters
โ€ข Crayons
โ€ข Glue sticks
โ€ข Rulers
โ€ข Colored pencils
โ€ข Felt tip markers
โ€ข Rulers
โ€ข Scientific calculators
โ€ข Kleenex
โ€ข Memory sticks

Friends of Youth is a non-profit agency dedicated to supporting youth andย their families in King and Snohomish counties, and operates New Ground Kirkland, a transitional housing facility. One of five New Ground facilities operated by Friends of Youth, it provides housing and support in education, employment and health care for six young adults 18-21.
