Happy St. Patty's Day! Big Bash at the Rover, LWHS Drama Club Play

- And a happy St. Patrick's Day to you!ย Originally a religious holiday to honor ย St. Patrick, who introduced Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century, it has evolvedย into a celebration of all things Irish. Here are a few more facts about the day and the Irish.
- The downtown on Central Way is planning a big Irish bash, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., with music, food, dancing -- the works.
- The Drama Club opens the curtains on its presentation of the hip comedy "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"ย ย at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Tickets are $8. Additional performances are Friday and Saturday.
- Today daylight and darkness are split as evenly as they will be this winter/spring at our location, almost 12 hours each, with the sun rising at 7:19 a.m and setting at 7:17 p.m.
