KPC Hosting Alaskan Fiddler-Poet and it's South American Night at Tervelli/Olive You

Things you might like to know today, Saturday, March 5, 2011.

  • The sun is up at 6:29 a.m and goes down at 5:57 p.m.
  • The ย hosts the traveling minstrel Alaskan fiddler-poet Ken Waldman, joined by special local musicians, to celebrate Puget Sound's ties to that other planet - er, state -- to the north. The tunes start at 8 p.m., tickets are $20, $10 for youth.
  • Aye Carumba! It's South America Night at Lounge Tervelli and ย downtown, with a whole lotta shakin' going on (see the attached video) beginning at 10 p.m. DJ Luis from Costa Rica spins the tunes at Tervelli, while next door at O-You, the band La Coffee will be playing.
