KPD Reports: Man With Gun Arrested at Municipal Court
Police also deal with assault incidents at Kirkland Transit Center and a counterfeit $20 bill.

The following are selected reports from the Kirkland Police Department from April 8-12.
April 8
- After reports of a possible fight with a knife at the Kirkland Transit Center on Third Street downtown, officers arrested a drunken 17-year-old Kirkland youth who had been attempting to assault people. He was later released to an adult.
- A contractor reported to police that someone stole a pair of aluminum construction stilts from inside a house being built in the Lakeview neighborhood.

- Police responded to a report of a fight near the Kirkland Transit Center and found a 25-year-old Kirkland man bleeding heavily from a cut above the left eye. Neither he nor a witness could provide a description of the suspect. But the victim said he was jumped from behind by a man in a white shirt who accused him of touching his wifeโs buttocks.
April 10
- Police arrested a 43-year-old resident of 99th Place in Juanita on suspicion of assault for allegedly punching his 26-year-old girlfriend in the head while arguing about male names and numbers on her cell phone. Police helped the woman send a request to court for a temporary restraining order.
April 11

- Police took as evidence a counterfeit $20 bill from a store on Lake Washington Boulevard that reported someone used it to pay for gas.
- Staff from a local school contacted a 16-year-old male at Peter Kirk Park because the youth was truant from school. The youth was returned to school and later arrested on misdemeanor drug charges after a search of his backpack found a small amount of marijuana.
April 12
- A 22-year-old Kirkland man from the Bridle Trails area was arrested on weapons charges after entering municipal court in the Totem Lake area while carrying a loaded .22 pistol.
