Lake Washington Falls to Mount Si in Pitching Duel, 2-1

Spencer Jackson gave up just three hits over six-plus innings and Bob Cruikshank homered while batting 2-for-3, but it wasnโ€™t enough as the Lake Washington High baseball team fell 2-1 to league-leading Mount Si Friday in Snoqualmie.

Mount Siโ€™s Reece Karaws also pitched a great game, striking out 12 Kangs while giving up five hits.

Lake Washington, now 6-6 overall and 4-2 in KingCo 3A/2A play, also got hits from Zach Johnson, Chris Moore and Nick Johnson.

Tim Proudfoot went 1-for-3 with a home run for Si (10-1/6-0), while Nate Sinner and Trevor Lane also had hits, Sinner driving in Lane with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Lake Washington next travels to Bellevue to take on the Wolverines Monday at 4:30 p.m.

In other action, the Juanita Rebels outlasted Interlake 2-1 in 11 innings at Interlake Friday. Juanita next takes on Liberty at Lee Johnson Field in Peter Kirk Park, Monday at 4:30 p.m.
