Microsoft Named the World's Best Place to Work

The Great Place to Work Institute, a global research, training and consulting firm, has put the Redmond software giant at the top of its list of "World's Best Multinational Workplaces."

is the best place in the entire world to work, according to a new list of the "world's best multinational workplaces" compiled by Great Place to Work Institute, a global research, training and consulting firm.

According to a news release from Great Place to Work, the rankings are based onย data from surveys taken by more than 2.5 million employees and "workplace cultural analytics."ย Josรฉ Tolovi Jr., global CEO of Great Place to Work, said the companies who made the top 25 are all dedicated to employee satisfaction.

โ€œThis list recognizes global companies that have demonstrated a truly serious commitment to creating workplaces that foster trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees,โ€ Tolovi said in the news release.

Lisa Brummel, Microsoft's chief people officer, said the company was "thrilled" to earn the recognition.

โ€œWeโ€™re thrilled that Microsoftโ€™s commitment to innovation and our passion for how technology can transform peopleโ€™s lives is recognized around the globe,โ€ Brummel said in the news release. โ€œMicrosoft is a great place to work not only because of what we do, but because of the quality of the company culture that our employees have collectively created.โ€
