PET OF THE WEEK: Quiet and Colorful Ms. Liberace
Pretty 2-year-old was rescued from a hoarding situation with 10 other cats in a small apartment.

Ms. Liberace is a 2-year-old, gorgeous dilute tortoiseshell cat -- a work of art with a mix of cream, blue, lilac and fawn coloring.
She was rescued from a hoarding situation where she and 10 other cats were living in the confines of a small apartment. Now she is at Houghton's , were she arrivedย quite thin.
She has gained some weight, however, and is looking and feeling much better.ย Ms. Liberace is quiet, gentle, affectionate, independent (she is a cat after all!) and likes to lie in front of the window and be groomed.

She does very well with other cats but isn't familiar with dogs. She always responds to a quiet voice and soft touch. She will be happiest if she is in a quiet home andย would probably do best in a home with older children.
She is up to date on her vaccinations, has been spayed and micro-chipped. She loves visitors. If you are interested in giving her a home, seeย www.meowcatrescue.orgย or call 425-822-6369.ย

Incidentally the shelter, which houses 60 to 80 homeless cats at any given time, is always in need of volunteers for a variety of tasks. As a non-profit group, it can also always use donations -- veterinary services are its biggest expense, and costly.
