Ramstead Scores Four to Lift Lake Washington Over Vashon in Lacrosse
The Kangs win 11-7 to improve to 7-5 on the season. They play again Thursday on the LW field.

VASHON ISLAND โ Cooper Ramstead hammered home a season-high four goals to lead to its seventh win of the season, an 11-7 boys high school lacrosse victory Tuesday at Vashon High School.
The Kangs struck early, hitting the Vashon nets for three goals in the first and built a healthy 8-3 advantage at the half. In the second half, behind the growing confidence of freshman goalkeeper Marquis Stendahl, Vashon began to whittle away at the Kangsโ lead, outscoring Lake Washington 3-1 to close the gap to 9-6 going into the final quarter.
But in the fourth, Lake Washington again pulled away, outscoring the Pirates 2-1 to close out the game.

Ramsteadโs four goals gave the junior midfielder a total of seven for the season.ย Previously, he had scored no more than a solo goal in any game.ย Other Kangs scorers included Hank Schmale with three and Cody Bernstein and Carson Brown each with two.
For Vashon, Stendahl turned out the Pirateโs top performer, playing in just his first career varsity lacrosse game. Relieving injured starter Aaron Bomber, the backup goaltender made 14 saves with just one day of practice in guarding the cage. Luke Hembree netted a hat trick for Vashon and Konnar Fall had two assists.

Lake Washington (7-5-0) next faces Division II Providence (7-1-0) Thursday in a 7 p.m. start on the LW field. Vashon (2-8-0) next faces Eastlake (7-4-1), Saturday, April 30 in a 5 p.m. start in Bellevue.
