Loved Ones to Hold Service for Steve Lacey Today in Bellevue

Tributes continue to pour in for highly regarded software engineer killed July 24 by a driver who police say was drunk and might have been involved in a road rage incident.

Friends and family will remember 43-year-old Google software engineer and Microsoft veteran Steve Lacey, killed last Sunday in a horrible car crash in Kirkland, during a service today at East Shore Unitarian Churchย in Bellevue.

The service, at 2:30 p.m., will be followed by a reception at theย ย in Kirkland. Meantime, tributes continue to pour in for highly regarded engineer, a Kirkland resident who leaves a wife and two children.

Many are on the Steve Lacey Memorial page on Facebookย and another is in the form a special flightย made by Tom Tiedman on Flight Simulator. That's the Microsoft project Lacey worked on while working for the company. See the video here, or click on it at right.
