Traffic Alert: 8k Run to Cause Delays Sunday Morning in Juanita

Drivers can expect traffic delays Sunday morning in Juanita along the route of the Captain Jack’s 8k Run and Walk, a new event benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The run starts and ends at , making a loop of more than four miles, east up NE 124th almost to Interstate 405, then heading south and west on various roads while returning to the park.

Roads in the immediate vicinity of the park that will be closed from 5 a.m to noon include 97^th Avenue NE from Juanita Drive NE to NE 119^th Way.

Organizers of the run are expecting 700 athletes to take part. For details, go to www.btomultisports.com.

The following roads along the 8k route will be closed from 8:20 a.m. until the final athlete finishes at approximately 10:30 a.m.:
