• Kittitas County Historical Museum to host open house Dec. 17 (kimatv.com) — Kittitas County residents are invited to the Historical Museum in Ellensburg on Dec. 17 for the society’s 5 p.m. annual meeting and a 6–8 p.m. holiday open house. You can hear about 2025 milestones, preview 2026 plans, and explore exhibits after hours with free admission and seasonal refreshments. 
• Jacks girls stay focused despite home loss (columbiabasinherald.com) — Kittitas hoops fans will see their local girls mentioned as one of Quincy’s toughest early-season opponents, alongside Lakeside and Prosser. Quincy’s young squad fell 71-29 to Grandview but their coach praised their effort and focus on improving basketball IQ. He’s hopeful a lighter stretch of games and the return of a key freshman guard will help them rebound.
• High wind warning in place for Eastern Washington for Tuesday and Wednesday (tri-cityherald.com) — A high wind warning is in effect for Kittitas Valley from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 4 p.m. Wednesday, with southwest winds up to 35 mph and gusts to 65 mph possible. Residents are urged to secure loose items, prepare for potential outages, and avoid trees, power lines, and risky driving during peak winds.
