• WA floods: Evacuation orders issued for Orting, Ebey Island and more (seattletimes.com) — La Conner residents living in the 100-year floodplain are under a level 2 “Be Set” evacuation notice as major Skagit River flooding is forecast to shatter records starting Thursday. Officials urge locals to pack go-kits, prepare to leave within 24 hours, and stay away from flooded roads while county and Red Cross shelters are organized for displaced residents.
