1 Killed In I-5 Off-Ramp Crash, Traffic Backups Expected
A deadly crash in Tacoma Monday afternoon has troopers warning commuters to switch up their routines.

TACOMA, WA — A deadly car crash in Tacoma is expected to cause lingering traffic disruptions during Monday's evening commute.
Update: as of 9 p.m. Monday all roads have been reopened.

Washington State Patrol first reported the crash just before 5 p.m. Troopers say a single car rolled on the ramp from southbound I-5 to S 38th Street in Tacoma.

The driver of the rolled vehicle was pronounced dead shortly after first responders arrived at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries have been reported.
The off-ramp to S 38th was briefly closed, but has been reopened. However, in exchange the ramp from SR-16 to S 38th has been blocked. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes through the area if possible.

The cause of the crash has yet to be announced.
