Lakes' Kiaya Van Scoyoc Named WIAA Athlete of the Week

Lakes' Kiaya Van Scoyoc is picking up honors faster than she can pin an opponent.

Well, almost as fast.

The junior was named 3A WIAA Athlete of the Week last week for her impressive performance at the Kitsap Peninsula HammerHead Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

According to WIAA:

Van Scoyoc captured the championship at the 170 weight class at last week’s Kitsap Peninsula’s HammerHead Invitational Tournament.  She pinned her first opponent in 53 seconds, her second opponent in 73 seconds, and her third opponent in less than three minutes.

Wow. Amazing stuff. Congratulations, Kiaya, on a tremendous honor.
