LAKEWOOD, WA — Lakewood will be hosting a series of four Saturday Street Festivals at Colonial Plaza this summer, the first of which is coming up later this month.

Coming up on Saturday, May 21, Lakewood will be inviting residents to go "Dancing in the Streets" for the first event. Organizers say the event will pack the recently-renovated plaza with food trucks, a beer garden and live entertainment. For the main event, everyone will be invited to the dance floor where dance groups will teach participants popular dances like the Macarena and Electric Slide.

The next Saturday Street Festival will be the "Carnival of Cultures" in June, followed by a "Jazz Night & Car Show" and finally the "Fiesta De La Familia" in September.
