Lakewood Postpones 25th Anniversary Party For Stormy Weather
Heavy rain is expected over the next few days. As a result, several events around Lakewood have been cancelled or postponed.

LAKEWOOD, WA — The incoming stormy weather has postponed several events planned for this weekend, including the City of Lakewood's 25th Anniversary Celebration.
The National Weather Service is predicting heavy rains starting Friday around noon, plus gusts of winds up to 21 mph in the Lakewood area. The rain and wind are expected to stick around through at least Sunday night, possibly through early Monday.
Originally planned for this Saturday, organizers say the extreme weather forecast has pushed them to postpone the event to next Saturday, Sept. 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The fair will be held at Colonial Plaza at 6100 Motor Ave SW. Organizers say it will feature all kinds of family fun, including food trucks, performances from around the world and community vendors.

This Friday's Farmers Market has been canceled due to incoming stormy weather. That leaves just one market on the calendar: next Friday, Sept. 24 from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Fort Steilacoom Park. Save the date and stop by to pick up something fresh!https://t.co/gT4fvCy2WI pic.twitter.com/pYTxC9FDE8
