Mortar/Demo Training At JBLM Set To Begin July 8
The training exercises will cause increased noise from the area between July 8 and July 12, officials said.
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA — Mortar and demolitions training events will be held next week on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Nearby residents and communities are advised to expect noise all week long.
Training exercises will begin Monday, July 8, at 6 a.m. and continue through 11:59 p.m. Friday, July 12.
The training will reportedly involve demolitions as well as the firing of 60mm, 80mm, and 120mm mortar rounds.
