According to Washington State Patrol's Robert Reyer, the semi rolled on the ramp from westbound 512 to southbound I-5. The driver was uninjured, and no other cars were involved, but the process of removing the totaled vehicle is causing road closures and backups throughout the area.

The on ramp has been fully closed, and drivers are being cautioned to expect backups and stoppages in the area.

This is the second major road closure in Pierce County Monday morning. The first, a car crash on SR-7 in Parkland, fully closed that roadway and put a driver in the hospital.

SR-7 has since been fully reopened.
