The Mercer Island Thrift Shop (MITS) is hosting a "Goes Hawaiian" event featuring significant savings on Hawaiian-themed clothing selections and other specials throughout the holiday week.
The Thrift Shop began featuring Hawaiian ware for sale on July 2 at its location next to Mercerdale Park at 7710 SE 34th Street. On July 4 only, all regular priced items throughout the store will be marked down 30%. Beginning July 5, customers receive a 75% discount on all items marked with a lavender tag. Finally, July 7 is "Bag Day," where all lavender tagged clothing, linens, and shoes are sold for $1.25 per pound.
Suzanne Philen, Thrift Shop Coordinator, encourages Islanders to, "swing by the Thrift Shop and pick up that Hawaiian shirt for your Fourth of July barbeque."
Note: MITS special hours of operation on July 4 are from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
MITS is a program of Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.
