• YFS Foundation awards grant to support Mercer Island seniors (mi-reporter.com) — Mercer Island’s Youth & Family Services Foundation is giving an extra $30,000 grant to sustain key senior programs like SAIL fitness classes and the Seniors Rising newsletter into 2025. The funding supports falls-prevention, Living Alone and caregiver groups, social activities, tech help, and more at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center, with expanded offerings shaped by recent community needs assessments.
