Whitman College Awards Summer Internship Grants to Two Islanders

Several local residents now attending Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. recently received Whitman Summer Internship Grants.

This grant provides Whitman students with a stipend of $2300 so that they have the opportunity to participate in an unpaid internship that will allow them to build important skills for the future and to give back to the community around them.

Charlotte Graham of Mercer Island, Wash. will be interning with the Benaroya Research Institute. Next year Graham will be returning to Whitman as a senior biology major.

Jed Jacobson of Mercer Island, Wash. will be interning with the University of Washington Center on Human Development and Disability. Next year Jacobson will be returning to Whitman as a senior psychology major.
