The case against Mercer Island day care owner moved forward in Mercer Island Municipal Court this morning. Martin, 45, is charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, and third-degree malicious mischief near her Mercerdale home. The home is also the site of her home day care business. A hearing on the admissibility of evidence against Martin will be held on May 12.
