This summer the Seattle Art Museum will be presenting Beauty and Bounty: American Art in the Age of Exploration. In relation to the exhibit, Susan Olds offers this new lecture, featuring the artists who introduced images of the American wilderness. Many artists were commissioned by the government to record the grand vistas of the American continent, from the Adirondacks to the Pacific Northwest. Related books and DVDS will be available for checkout following the lecture.
