King County Election Update: Mitchell Gains In Later Ballots in Race to Face Hague in November
The later votes seem to trend toward challenger Richard Mitchell, though incumbent King County Councilwoman Jane Hague is still very solidly in first place. The top two in the four-way race will face off in November.

Challenger Richard Mitchell's percentage of votes in the race for King County Councilwoman Jane Hague's seat has been growing since the first counts were released on election night, the latest election results showed Friday.
The top two-vote getters will face off in November for the seat. Those appear to be Hague in first and Mitchell in second. The results of the election will be certified and become official on Aug. 31.
Hague has been the top vote getter since Tuesday night, but Mitchell's second place showing has increased from 28 percent Tuesday to 30 percent on Friday. The late trend for Mitchell slightly decreased challenger John Creighton's third place showing and Hague's first place showing from 39 percent election night to just under 38 percent in the latest tally.
