• Moses Lake School Board unanimously approves union contract (columbiabasinherald.com) — Moses Lake teachers are back in classrooms after the school board unanimously approved a new three-year contract with the Moses Lake Education Association following a five-day strike. The deal boosts classroom supply money, special education funding, and professional development support while slightly increasing district costs, which officials say are already budgeted. Limits on required after-hours meetings were also tightened to protect teachers’ time.

• Average fuel prices drop locally, statewide and nationally (thenewstribune.com) — Drivers in Moses Lake and the rest of Grant County are finally seeing some relief at the pump, with average gas prices down to about $4.04 a gallon. Prices have fallen for weeks across Washington and the nation, with Adams County dipping below $4 and the national average sliding under $3 for the first time in four years.
   

• Kids, Families, and Communities Together Through BAM Trail Fishing with 4 to 4 ever inc (bassanglermag.com) — Moses Lake families can look forward to a free kids’ fishing event at Cascade Park on May 31, 2026, hosted by the BAM Trail and nonprofit 4 To 4 Ever, Inc. Kids can get gear, learn from pro anglers, and join a fun derby with prizes. Organizers are also seeking donations and sponsors to help equip at least 50 young anglers.
