The troop also offers pickups within five miles of Normandy Park for a suggested $20–$30 donation, payable by cash, check, or Venmo.
   

• Normandy Park City Council addresses parks funding and public works projects (normandyparkblog.com) — Normandy Park’s City Council just moved ahead on key parks funding, road design work, and utility and waste contracts that will shape services in 2026. Councilmembers advanced franchise agreements, budget amendments, and regional partnerships on creeks, transportation, and open space, while also approving staff cost-of-living raises and setting their next meeting for January 13, 2026.
   

• Driver, 18, killed after losing control on SR 509 in Burien, WA (fox13seattle.com) — An 18-year-old Normandy Park resident was killed Sunday night in a single-car crash on SR 509 near South 160th Street in Burien, according to state troopers. Investigators say he lost control while passing on the right shoulder, hitting trees and a building before being pronounced dead at the scene.
