• Thurston County man injured after driver crashes into trooper's vehicle in Grays Harbor County (chronline.com) — An Olympia-based Washington State Patrol trooper was injured Monday evening when another driver crashed into his stopped patrol vehicle on State Route 107 in Grays Harbor County, where he was coaching a trooper cadet at a prior collision scene. The 46-year-old Olympia man was taken to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, while others involved escaped serious injury, underscoring ongoing safety risks for local troopers responding to roadside crashes.
• Locust Cider to close Fort Collins location (greeleytribune.com) — Locust Cider has already closed its Olympia taproom as part of a broader pullback that’s shuttered locations across Washington, Texas, and Colorado. The company is keeping production going while focusing on grocery, bar, and restaurant distribution, and may convert its Fort Collins site into a fully gluten-free restaurant.
