• Advisory vote on transgender athletes in girls sports again among 35 proposed amendments for WIAA Representative Assembly (bellinghamherald.com) — Omak School District has joined several others statewide in resubmitting an advisory proposal that would create a girls-only sports division limited to athletes assigned female at birth, set for a 2026 WIAA vote. The measure, which previously failed by one vote, remains advisory because it conflicts with state law, and is part of a broader package of 35 proposed changes affecting school sports classifications and private-school placement across Washington.
