27 Horses Rescued From Pierce County Property
An animal cruelty investigation resulted in more than two dozen horses being removed from a property in Graham on Monday.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Pierce County deputies helped animal control officers serve a warrant in Graham this week to investigate allegations of animal cruelty on a property near Graham-Kapowsin High School.
Working together with Save A Forgotten Equine (SAFE) and the Seattle Mounted Police Unit, authorities seized more than two dozen horses and moved them to another pasture, officials said Friday.
"The warrant stems from an animal cruelty investigation that was launched following a complaint regarding the treatment of horses on the property," the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said. "The investigation, which is ongoing, will include a thorough evaluation by a veterinarian."
