6 Dogs Saved From Burning Tacoma Home

All six dogs are expected to fully recover, though some needed special oxygen treatment to pull through.

TACOMA, WA — Six dogs are breathing easy Friday thanks to the quick work of Tacoma firefighters.

Just before 5 a.m. Friday, Tacoma Fire reported that their crews had been called to a home on fire in the 200 block of E 69th Street.

Firefighters say the home was billowing heavy smoke and flames could be seen burning the roof. A fire attack crew was dispatched to try and keep the blaze confined to the attic, while other firefighters searched the building — and found six dogs inside.
