Eagle Scout Project Information

The city tries to accommodate requests from Boy Scouts to help them fulfill their Eagle Scout requirements.  In addition to the city's volunteer application, a cover letter describing the type of project the Scout is interested in doing; or description of an original idea is highly recommended.

A typical Eagle Scout project is usually a construction project in one of the city's many parks, but it can be something like archiving, researching, or compiling historic information; or designing and marketing materials for a specific city event.  If the idea is accepted by the city the Scout will coordinate the project through the scouting organization and a designated city staff member.
