• How much water flooded parts of Western Washington? At least 3 Lake Washingtons' worth (kuow.org) — Recent storms dumped an enormous amount of rain on Western Washington, with at least nine million acre-feet falling across 17 watersheds, including the Puyallup. Scientists say the unusually long-lasting atmospheric river overwhelmed rivers and soils, helping explain the serious flooding many communities around the Puyallup and other basins just experienced.
