Crash Closes Pioneer Way E, Drivers Warned To Expect Delays
A crash early Wednesday left a tractor-trailer on its side in the road, which took several hours to remove.

PUYALLUP, WA — A collision along Pioneer Way E has forced first responders to complete close the roadway Wednesday morning.
Update: as of 1 p.m. the roadway has been reopened.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, a two vehicle collision ended with a tractor-trailer rolling at the intersection of Canyon Road E and Pioneer Way E.

The involved drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but Pioneer Way E will be closed for several hours, and deputies are warning drivers to avoid the area or expect heavy traffic backups.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
