Crews to Repair Pavement on Canyon Road East Sept. 9-14

From Pierce County:

Pierce County crews will repair pavement along Canyon Road East between 106th Street East and 116th Street East for five nights starting Monday, Sept. 9. Crews will remove areas of deteriorated pavement, place new hot mix asphalt and seal cracks.

The work will be done between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., and is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

Work will start on the three southbound lanes, with one lane remaining open for traffic. Once repairs are completed, work will shift to the three northbound lanes, with one lane remaining open for traffic. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. The work is weather dependent, and may be canceled if rain is forecast.
