Stinkin' Drunk: DUI Suspect Hides In Bin Of Dog Fecese

"I nearly vomited several times," a Pierce County deputy wrote in a report about finding the man covered in dog waste.

BROOKDALE, WA - A man drunk on tequila tried to elude police over the weekend by hiding in a bin full of dog feces. The man was so covered in dog waste, Pierce County deputies couldn't perform field sobriety tests. Firefighters had to place him in a plastic suit because he was a "biohazard."

The incident happened Saturday night around 11 p.m. The driver crashed through the gate of a 50-acre pasture along 52nd Avenue East and began driving his Subaru across it. The owner of the property used his tractor to block the man from driving back through the gate.

When the driver saw he was blocked in, he got out of his car and took off running. The property owner shouted at the man that he would "be in a world of sh-t."

The property owner later told police that the man jumped into a dog waste bin - police counted 15 dog kennels on the property - then jumped out and got back into his car.

When police arrived, they found the man sitting in his car. The first deputy on the scene smelled the feces before he saw it. The stuff was smeared all over the side of the car.

"When I contacted the driver I noticed that he had feces all over his hands and clothing. I also noticed that the smell of feces got stronger and I nearly vomited several times," the deputy wrote in a report.

The suspect was taken to jail on a DUI charge. The car used to transport him to the jail went to the shop for "a major biohazard cleaning," according to police.
