Inslee Plans Four Stops In Pierce County Thursday
Gov. Jay Inslee is scheduled to spend most of Thursday attending a series of events in Pierce County.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Gov. Jay Inslee will be in Pierce County Thursday for four events planned around Tacoma. The governor's office said Inslee's first stop will be reading to two classrooms at Birney Elementary School. He will join as the school celebrates "Famous American Day," when students come to school dressed as their favorite historical or cultural figures.
After that, Inslee will meet with people living at the Hilltop Lofts, a supportive housing facility that was partially funded by the state Department of Commerce. In the early afternoon, the governor will host a roundtable chat with local leaders at the Tacoma Housing Authority.
Inslee's last scheduled stop will be a tour of TractionSpace, a local coworking space geared toward small businesses and another recipient of Department of Commerce Funding. After touring the workspace, Inslee will meet with Pierce County entrepreneurs benefitting from the state's "Small Business Innovation Fund."
