Make Christmas Bright for Local Families
While more and more families with children are struggling financially recent weather has decreased fundraising by 9%.

The annual iconic Red Kettle fundraisers in front of local stores raise funds to provide Christmas for 360 families as well as year-round services to feed, clothe, house, and nourish another 15,000 families throughout the year. With the continuing effects of COVID, inflation, and those escaping worldwide conflicts, those in need have nearly tripled over last year.
We are very grateful for the $105,909 the community has generously provided in the kettles so far this Christmas season. However, in part due to recent extreme weather, funds donated to the kettles are about 9% lower than last year. With all funds raised remaining in East Pierce county this directly relates to decreased service for local neighbors.
“Due to snowy conditions throughout the Northwest bell ringers have not been able to receive donations and families are struggling to pick up their toys in time for Christmas”, says Lt. Colonel Cindy Foley. “We rely on our generous donors to ensure that Christmas joy is given to everyone no matter their circumstances.”
