Man Shot Dead In Puyallup Barber Shop, Police Seek Suspect

The shop owner was cutting an eight-year-old child's hair when he was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect.

PUYALLUP, WA — A suspect is at large after a man was shot dead at a Puyallup barber shop late Wednesday afternoon, police said.

At 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, the suspect entered JQs Barbershop at 112 East Stewart Avenue and shot the 43-year-old owner multiple times before fleeing the area on foot, police said. Witnesses told authorities that the suspect was a man around 5-feet-8 inches tall and dressed in all black.

Several other people who were in the shop at the time of the shooting told police that after entering JQs Barbershop, the suspect went directly to the booth where the victim was cutting an 8-year-old child’s hair and shot him multiple times. The child was not harmed.
